What are the check-in and check-out times for the camping tents?
For the camping tents, check-in is between 16:00 and 18:30. Check-out is between 08:00 and 10:00. If you arrive after 18:30, you can go directly to the pitch or accommodation we have assigned and shared with you. Please keep us updated about your expected arrival time.

For the camping pitches, check-in is between 14:00 and 18:30. Check-out is by 11:00 at the latest. If you arrive after 18:30, you can go directly to the pitch we have assigned and shared with you. Please keep us updated about your expected arrival time.
Is there a swimming pool?
Yes! The swimming pool was built in 2016 and meets all safety standards. It is available to all guests throughout the season. Opening hours will be communicated upon arrival.
Where can I park my car?
Parking on the campsite itself is not possible. A designated parking area outside the grounds is available for guests.
Is there a tourist tax?
Yes, a tourist tax of €2.00 per person per night applies to guests aged 12 and over, for a maximum of 7 nights. The tourist tax is paid upon arrival at reception.
How do I get to the campsite?
The campsite is located in the picturesque Monte Santa Maria Tiberina, one of Italy's most beautiful medieval villages, in the heart of Umbria. After your booking, we will send you detailed directions. You can already save Via San Pietro 13, Monte Santa Maria Tiberina (PG) in your navigation app. Guests with a caravan, campervan or larger vehicle should still drive via San Secondo and turn right at the pizzeria. This route is a few kilometres longer, but has better asphalt and fewer steep sections than the route via Città di Castello that navigation apps often suggest.
When is the campsite open?
Luna del Monte is open from 1 April to 1 October. We look forward to welcoming you!
Where is the nearest supermarket?
A Carrefour supermarket is just a 10-minute drive away. In the nearby town of Trestina you will find several supermarkets, and the city of Città di Castello offers a wide range of shops. On site, the pool bar is stocked with fresh bread, drinks, ice cream, and coffee.
Are dogs welcome?
Yes, well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Luna del Monte! We ask that you keep your dog on a leash in the communal areas and always clean up after them. That way everyone can enjoy the campsite.
Is there wifi on the campsite?
Yes, free wifi is available on the campsite. We have a good internet connection with coverage across the entire site.
What facilities are available?
The campsite has a swimming pool, sanitary facilities, a pool bar serving drinks, ice cream, fresh bread, and coffee, and a laundry room. The safari tents come with bed linen and fully furnished sleeping areas, so all you need to do is unpack.
Is there a restaurant at the campsite?
There is currently no permanent restaurant on the campsite itself. Our trusted chef from Gusto e Trambusto can provide catering. From 2027, he will open his own restaurant beside the campsite, with enough space for larger groups to dine together.
Can I come with a caravan or camper?
Yes, the campsite has dedicated caravan and camper pitches. Make sure you select the correct pitch type when booking. Parking on site is only permitted in the designated areas.
What languages do you speak?

Can I book directly through your website?
Yes, and it is the smartest choice! Booking directly through campinglunadelmonte.nl means no extra fees via a booking platform. For any questions, we are happy to help at info@campinglunadelmonte.it.
Are there activities in the area?
Absolutely. Monte Santa Maria Tiberina is one of Italy's most beautiful medieval villages. The surrounding area offers wonderful hiking trails, historic towns such as Città di Castello and Umbertide, local wineries, and plenty of authentic Umbrian restaurants. We are happy to share personalised tips.
Is there shade on the campsite?
Yes, and that is one of the great advantages of Luna del Monte. Thanks to the many trees across the site, every pitch enjoys a lovely balance of sun and shade, roughly 50/50 throughout the day. You get to enjoy the Umbrian sun without overheating, and your tent or caravan stays pleasantly cool.
How large are the camping pitches?
Most pitches are a generous 10 by 10 metres, more than enough for a tent and awning. Pitches 32 and 34 are slightly more compact at 5 by 7 metres, suitable for smaller tents. You can select your preferred pitch type when booking.
